83% of villages in Covid Free Nashik District

Nashik: Of the 1,927 villages in 15 talukas from Nashik district, 1,607 (83%) are currently free of covid.
The Nashik District Health Office has released statistics that show that 1,607 villages have no active Covid cases in at least the last three weeks.
The number of such villages increases.
“Villages that do not have active cases in the last three weeks are called Covid free.
The number of such villages has soared from 1,246 a month ago to 1.607, now,” said District Health Officer Dr.
Kapil Aher.
It can be noted that 168 villages in the district have never had a Covid case active since the plague began in March 2020.
While two Talukas – Peth and Surgana – now do not have active cases in their villages, six other Talukas have one digit.

Of the 152 villages in Kalwan Taluka, only two still have active cases.
This means, 99% of villages in Covid free taluka.
In igatpuri, from 120 villages, five have active cases, 96% of villages are Covid free villages.
Trimbak, Chandwad also has a one-digit village with active Covid case.
Yeola Taluka, meanwhile, has the largest number of villages – 88 villages from 124 – with Covid cases.
Next is Sinnar, where 49 of the 128 villages have active patients.
“The number of cases decreases rapidly in all districts.
There are several villages that have a single digit active case.
The number of such villages is high in Yeola Taluka.
We believe the count will soon decrease,” Kailas Bhoye, the Taluka Nashik Health Office, who maintained a note, said .
The ‘Covid Free Village’ plan adopted by Gram Panchayats produces results.
“Vaccination among people, raising awareness, initial presentation of patients with symptoms of the health system, after the appropriate behavior of Covid is some reason that ensures a decrease in the number of Covid cases,” Bhoye said.
