Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government claims on Saturday that it has cleared more than 84% of the contributions of nearly 45 sugar cane farmers in the state, making it the highest and fastest payment in one season in the last 50 years.
The total amount given to sugar cane farmers in the last four years is around RS 1,42,650 Crore, the release of the sugar cane development department, adding that income for farmers is at least Rs 3,200 per quintal.
“A total of 120 functional sugar mills in the harvest season 2020-2021.
They have bought 1,028 lakh tugar worth RS 33,025 Crore.
Against the target, the fees for RS 27,465 Crore songs have been removed.
Also, 53 factories have cleaned 100% of the contribution,” said an official .
The cane crusher season this time began in October 2020 and continued until July 2021.
Additional major secretary, the development of sugar cane, Sanjay Bhoosreddy said: “This is the highest and fastest payment made by any government in the last 50 years.
What adds to achievement is that Record payments have been made despite the decline in the procurement of institutions of the main by-products produced from sugar factories.
“GE added that the remaining disbursement process Rs 5,560 Crore was taking place and the chairman of the Minister of Yogi Adityanath had issued instructions for cleaning the earliest contributions.
ACS Bhoosreddy connects the achievement for a number of steps made by the department, including marking sugar cane products other than sugar – molasses, bagasse and press mud.
In addition, ethanol is produced from the B-heavy molasses or sugar cane juice and used for cleaning production is also marked for payment of sugar cane prices.
In fact, the payment of sugar cane prices is accelerated due to increased production and sales of ethanol.
After ruling in 2017, the BJP government created an Escrow account, which was jointly operated by factory representatives and district stick officers / Senior Tebantan Development Inspector.
According to the rules, 85% received in the account is saved for payment of farmers.
This resulted in the arrest of transfer of money for purposes other than the payment of sugar cane.
As on August 31, the total sugar stock with a factory is around 47 lakh tons with an estimated RS 14,982 crore value.
Even the factory is waiting for contributions to have sugar stock worth Rs 6,297 Crore.
“So, the remaining payment of the RS 5,560 Crore should not be difficult, but it will depend on the stock cleaning,” said a stick department official.
