The number of empty seats in different colleges is – Magadh Mahila College (175), Patna College (244), B N College (231), Patna Science College (117) and Vanijya Mahavidyalaya (84).
In addition, the state government has provided 240 additional seats (180 in Patna College and 60 at Patna Science College) in the current session on requests for PU authorities.
Describing the reasons behind the remaining chairs empty Dean said that because of the delay in entering, because of the pandemic, some students whose names were known in the list of achievements did not enter.
“Some of them have been chosen in technical institutions outside the country when they get a call from PU,” Kumar said, adding that the sanctions chair in several language courses remained empty every year because very few students wanted to study this course.
