Ahmedabad: Minister of Home and Collaboration Union Amit Shah said that not only Gujarat boasts has a vaccination value per million highest among all countries, 86% of people over 45 years have been vaccinated for Covid-19 in Ahmedabad.
Amit Shah, who was on a three-day visit to Gujarat’s country house, said this on Sundays while placing a project foundation of Rs 244 in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas which fell under the constituency of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha, represented by MP.
He said the government had started a massive work to give the ‘Surakha Kavach’ (protective shield) against Coronavirus by taking vaccination drive.
“I am pleased to tell you that around 86% of those over the age of 45 and 32% of people in the age group 18 to 45 years have been vaccinated in Ahmedabad.
But this is not enough,” he said.
The remaining 14% in the age group of 45 years and 70% of teenagers (in the age group 18-44) must be vaccinated and all must take their second dose too.
“This will provide protection for all,” he said.
Shah said even though there was a lack of oxygen in the second wave of Pandemic Covid-19, the Government Government had taken the task of establishing oxygen plants in hospitals and substantially increased the production capacity of soul-saving gas.
He asked BJP workers to ensure everyone in their area was vaccinated.
BJP leader also advised party workers to fight vaccine doubts and spread the message that the medicine (against Covid-19) was safe.
