Patna: In the midst of a rise in the case of viral fever among children in the state, Minister of Health Mangal Pandey on Saturday said the government was fully ready to face the situation.
The Minister told the Toi that 395 children suffering from flu so far being treated in various government health facilities in this state this month and 13 of them died.
“While 295 children have recovered, 87 are still undergoing treatment.
None of these children have so far been positively tested for Covid-19,” he added.
The minister said even though the cases increased in the first week of this month, they began to decline from September 7 and so on.
“I have visited the children of the children of Patna Medical College and hospitals and interacts with the pediatrics.
According to them, this flu is common among children in August and September due to moist weather conditions,” said Pandey to Ti by telephone.
Advise parents not to panic, Pandey said most children recovered in five days.
“The Chairman of Minister Nith Kumar also asked about the case of the flu at the meeting on Saturday.
Although the cases declined, CM had instructed health officials to remain vigilant.
The hospital has been asked to keep drugs ready in sufficient quantities,” Pandey said .
The Ministry of Health Additional Secretary of Pratyaya Amrit said all district judges have been asked to prepare a daily report on such cases and monitor the situation correctly.
The case of swine flu is worried about health dept: when the case of viral fever among children is increasing in the state, the emergence of swine flu cases is increasingly worried about the health department.
Three cases of swine flu have so far been detected in private hospitals in the city.
Two patients have recovered and dismissed from the hospital.
The hospital medical supervisor, Dr.
Asif Rahman, said that while two cases were detected last month, the third patient, who came from Samastipur, was accepted at the facility earlier this week.
He said no patient has so far died in the hospital due to swine flu.
“A patient died of Influenza A.
He also has a underlying condition.
Influenza A, B and Swine Flu are different diseases with similar symptoms,” said Dr.
Rahman.
