Navi Mumbai: Nearly 9.5 lakh people in Navi Mumbai, which are almost 88% of the qualified population in the city, has been vaccinated with the first dose of Covid vaccine since the campaign began in mid-January.
In addition, more than 4 lakh people, or 38% of the eligible population have been given with both vaccine doses.
With this, NMMC claims that it has included more people with the first dose of covid vaccines compared to neighboring cities despite uncertain vaccine supplies.
Until now, 13.58 doses of lakh have been managed in the NMMC area, with priority given to disadvantaged ones in the community.
Between August 8 and 25, more than 1 lakh vaccinated people in the city while 94,000 beneficiaries were immunized afterwards.
