Coimbatore: Customs officials intercept two passengers at Coimbatore International Airport on Monday morning early and seized 883G Selundup gold worth Rs 42.82 lakh from the duo.
Acting on the tip-off, customs officials intercept two passengers – Sekar Ramasamy and Dharma Arul Netaji – who arrived from Sharjah through Air Arabia flights on Monday.
When checking the baggage of both passengers, customs officials found several substances such as pasta mixed with gold hidden in their clothes.
Officials extracted 883G gold worth Rs 42.82 lakh from pasta.
