8L dose with pvt hompon in Karnataka will expire

Bengaluru: More than eight doses of Lakh Vaccine Covid lying around 2,400 private hospitals in Karnataka, and concerns are being raised as the expiration date – late November – because most of these doses are quickly approaching.
While private hospitals said the government had to buy shares of vaccines – six lakh covaxin, two lakh covishield and 25,000 sputnik – lying with them as a valuable source could not be left in vain, the Karnataka government wants the center to intervene and resolve the crisis.
This country plans to suppress national policies regarding the procurement of hospitals.
The covaxin dose purchased at the beginning of June will expire in November.
Some hospitals have distributed doses among small centers where they can be utilized.
However, there has been no discussion between the government and private hospitals in stock redistribution.
A week ago, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has been searching for data on doses that are not used with private hospitals and Dr.
HM Prasanna, president, private hospitals, and home nursing associations (Phan) said the data arranged by them showed more than eight shots lakh.
He said the government had to act before the dose ended.
But the cost is a sticky point.
Officials said considering that every dose of Covaxin was charged 1,250 RS and Covishield RS 630, the government must spend large quantities to buy back stock.
This cannot be done without the right policy in place.
“The problem is not limited to Karnataka; all countries face it,” said P Ravikumar, Secretary’s Chief.
“Private hospitals throughout India have millions of doses that are not used.
It is important to use it before expiration.
We will bring a problem with the union government notice and look for directions.” The vaccine demand at a private hospital fell sharply from July-August and so on, when the situation Supply in the covid vaccine center managed by the government is stable.
Free vaccination in the center of Staterun and a few are willing to pay high fees – especially for covaxin – in private hospitals.
“The highest demand for vaccines in private hospitals is from March to June when the supply is slow and uncertain,” said the private hospital owner.
“We did not get the supply when asked.
In May, when vaccination was opened for 18-44 years, his request was very high, but the availability was low.
Reverse situation from August and so on Making vaccines available for those who want to pay.
At present, private hospitals say, only those who choose Covishield are now back for the second dose.
D Randeep, Department of Welfare of Commissioners, Health and Family, said that there was no decision about this problem.
“We ensure that the vaccine approaches expiration so that it is looking for direction from the government,” he said.
Officials said the delegation led by Health Minister K Sudhakar is likely to visit Delhi and the country has been looking for an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
While the appointment with PM was not confirmed until the end of Tuesday night, the sources said that Sudhakar would remain back and campaigned for Bypolls if there was no meeting with mod to scheduled, and state officials would make problems related to vaccination with central government officials.
