New Delhi: In the past week, 1,171 cases of dengue fever have been reported in the national capital taking the total number of cases this year for 2708.
According to a joint report issued by South Delhi Municipal Corporation, three deaths have been recorded because of vector default diseases, which make the total number Official death toll confirmed nine – the highest since 2017 when 10 deaths were recorded in a year.
Of the 1,171 cases, 942 reported from three companies – 394 from the north, 404 from the south and the east have 144 cases.
The rest of the case was reported from other regions such as under New Delhi Municipal Council, Delhi Cantonment and the train.
To control this outbreak, companies carry out drive alcers, household awareness campaigns and surveys in different locations to check for mosquito nurseries.
Civil bodies issue legal notice for homes and building owners where the condition of Mosquitogenic is detected.
Among the deceased from South Delhi was a three-year-old girl from Badarpur and a 12-year-old boy from Durga Vihar Deoli.
Under the North Corporation of the 63-year-old Rohini population died at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital.
The southern corporation has also launched a special three-day trip against mosquitoes from November 5, with a focus on areas where the high number of cases reported.
All three companies have identified these areas and are monitoring them.
