Lucknow: A quarter of the district adult population is now fully vaccinated.
Although the daily vaccination rate dropped dramatically on Wednesday, it was enough to take a fully vaccinated amount to more than nine lakh, which is 25% of the 36 adult populations of Lakh Lucknow who qualified for vaccination.
September has witnessed 40,000 average vaccinations, but dropped to 14,000 on Wednesday because most of the Ministry of Health’s resources were diverted for routine children’s immunization.
Routine immunization has been left behind from the target since April, because the second wave of destructive and priority given to Covid vaccination.
From those who were vaccinated on Wednesday, around 59.4% (8,419) people took the first shot, while 40.7% (5,781) got the second.
It took the total number of people who had completed the 9.2 lakh vaccine dose course and a single dose recipient to 13.9 lakh.
Someone qualified for the second dose eight to 16 weeks after taking the first.
The gap between these two doses depends on the vaccine brand.
