Kanpur: A total of nine leaders leading with two points after the second round at the Grand Master of the online chess championship qualifying on-10 held on Wednesday.
Championships are being organized by chess & sports associations.
Nine Top Players are Vidit Setri, Viraj Singh Gumbar Yug Agnihotri, Arnav Agarwal, Snehanshu Chakravarti, Shreyansh Srivastava, Toshi Janoti, Atharv Prana, (All 2 points), Pranav Rastogi, Vihan Khandelwal, Kusagra Adhyagarvit Jain (all 1.5 points) .
Vidit Sethi defeated Thapliyal Atharva, Yug Agnihotri defeated Deevan Shukla, Viraj Singh Beat Ojas Rathi, Ajay Agarwal defeated Mohini Pandit, Raghav Srivastava beat Shivanjali, Snehshook Chakravarty beat Aradhya Pasari, Shlok Jain beat Navdeep Tandon and Toshi beat Shagun.
The tie between pranav and Vihan Khandelwal, Kusagra Gupta and Adya Singh, Arnav Singhal and Garvit Jain ended in Draw.
According to Delip Srivastava, Secretary, Kanpur Chess Association, including 8 girls from ten districts from the State participated in the championship.
Vinayak Tripathi and Yug Agnihotri from Kanpur took part in the event, he added.
The championship is a mixture of league and knock out and was first held in this country.
To be held on the chess championship championship line, it will be carried out in the age group under 10, 12, 14 and 16 years.
The match all groups will conclude on January 28 and the open championship will be held on January 28 to January 31, he said.
After 26 players will be selected for the knockout phase to start from February 3 to February 13.
