Greater Noida: Noida Administration has decided to provide water pipeline to nine villages immediately.
A survey conducted under the central scheme, Jal Jeevan’s mission, found that only 12% of households in these villages had access to tap water.
District administration has been in August 2019 registering 47,540 households in Dadri, Jewar and conscious Tehsils.
So far, 5,331 households have been equipped with pipe water.
In total, 97 grams of Sabhas surveyed under the center mission.
While 38 villages already have a water connection at home, the remaining 59 will be borne in the phase.
“During the previous phase, Rs 82.6 Crore was spent on providing water connections in these villages.
The work was assigned by Jal Nigam,” said Judge Suhas Ly.
Nine villages in Dadri and Tehsils Jewar are the next line.
24.3 crore RS funds have been set aside for this project, officials said on Friday.
The villages that will be connected next are Dadupur Khatana, Jaitwarpur, Muthyani, Sainthali, Umcha Amirpur and Payali Tajpur in Dadri and Dhundhera, Changuli and Rajpur Kalan in the Jewar.
Anil Kumar Singh, Head of District Development, said detailed project reports will be ready and tender will follow the next.
The government has set deadlines on August 14, 2024, to connect all rustic households with pipe water.
The authority of the development of the Great Noida Industry (Gnida) will also start working on connecting the remaining urban villages with pipe water.
Gnida is responsible for providing urban services to 112 villages, which only 44 has access to water connections.
Some villages that will have a water supply network is Accheja, Haipatpur, Lacchi, Kasna, Gurjarpur, Makoda, Ladpura, Khanpur, Roza Jalalpur and Patwari, among others.
“A number of villagers have submersible pumps, while there are several families that depend on hand pumps for drinking water.
Pipe water is a basic need and Gnida should ensure this,” said Ravinder Bhati from Roza Jalalpur Village.
The village that was notified under the development authority was not covered by Jeevan’s mission.
This is a local authority that must provide civil service in such villages.
