9 PB DISS Lagging is far behind in Covid vaccination drive

Chandigarh: More than seven months after drive anti-covid vaccination took off, nine districts in Punjab – said those who saw the full load during the two waves – had abysmal vaccine coverage.
Data analysis revealed that many districts failed to match the country’s average in managing the first dose and both vaccines, which remained less than many other states in this country.
With the wave of the “unavoidable” third infection which is projected to be hit in October, mass vaccination is seen by health experts as the only hope together with compliance with the right behavior in keeping the situation under control.
From every 100, Punjab has so far managed to manage the first dose to 39.5 people against the national average of 41.
Even neighboring Himachal Pradesh and Haryana are much better, after giving the first dose to 81.6 people and 45.6 per 100.
, each.
There are nine districts that are below the country average.
Coverage data per 100 shows that only 29.3 was vaccinated with the first dose in Sangrur, 30.1 in Fazilka, 31.3 in Mansa, 31.8 in Bathinda, 35.9 in Amritsar, 36.4 in Moga and 38.1 in Barnala .
There are five districts where more than 50% of the population has been inoculated, with Mohali sustain the list by providing the first dose to 76.3% followed by Hoshiarpur at 55.9% of eleven districts not suitable with the overall average of the country.
Punjab has so far succeeded in fully immunizing 12.6 per 100, numbers that stood at 27.4 at Himachal Pradesh, 15.9 in Haryana and 12.7 at the All-India level.
Mansa is at the bottom of the table with a complete percentage of vaccination 6.8 per 100 when in Fazilka is 6.9, in Ferozepur (7.3), Sangrur (7.5), Tarn Taran (8.4), Moga and Muktsar (9.1), Bathinda (9.1), Bathinda (9.1), Bathinda (9.1)), Barnala (9.9), Amritsar (11) and fatehgarh Sahib (11.1).
According to health officials, Punjab previously faced a lack of vaccines that hinder the immunization drive.
However, the availability of doses has improved since last month.
“Vaccination has increased significantly since the supply of vaccines has increased by the central government.
Now, the drive has gained momentum,” said Minister of Health Punjab Balbir Singh Sidhu.
Choosing PACE: Until September 9, a total of 2,115,654 doses are given, which accounts for more than 50% of 4,057,817 doses given in August – the highest number of monthly immunization so far.
In the last 15 days, the country has stabbed an average of 153,433 per day.
