Shimla: Nine people including eight tourists were killed while the other three including two tourists were injured when shooting stones hit the area near the Batseri along the Links -Sangla-Chhitkul road to Kinnaur Village on Sunday afternoon on Sunday afternoon.
Those who were killed belonged to Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh were two tourists who were injured belonging to Delhi and Mohali.
Another injury is from Kinnaur.
Great Boulders fell on a tempo traveler who resulted in the victim.
The bridge that connects the Batseri Village with the remaining Kinnaur was also damaged after a large stone also fell on it while the road that connects Sangla-Chhitkul with a clogged state.
According to information received, the vehicle of tourists who came from Chhitkul to Sangla were beaten by landslides because the rocks were near Gunsa Batseri in Kinnaur District where no one was killed.
Kinnaur Mla Jagat Singh Negi said that the incident occurred around 1pm when the big Ricks began shooting down from the hill just opposite the village of Batseri.
He said that the incident occurred along the link road where the bridge had also been damaged.
He said that in the same place, big rock fell on Saturday where one car was badly damaged.
Those who were killed were identified as Pratiksha Sunil Patil (27) from Sadhbhawna Nagar, Nagpur, Maharashtra; Deepa Sharma (34) from Jaipur; Amoghi Bapat (27) from Korba Darri in Chhatisgarh; Driver of Vehicle Evil Fate of Umrab Singh (42) from Tagore Garden West Delhi; Kumar Ulhas Vedpathak (37); Anurag Biyani (31) from Sikar in Rajasthan, his mother Maya Devi Biyani (55) and her sister Richa Biyani (25) beside Satish Katakbar (34) from Chhatisgarh.
Those who were injured had been identified as Shiril Obroy (39) from West Delhi; Naveen Bhardwaj (37) from Kaharar in Mohali and Ranjeet Singh (45) from Batseri in Sangla.
Chairman of the Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the incident of the heartbeat and nine people had lost their lives after the vehicle they were getting caught under the shooting stones while two other people were injured.
He said that a pedestrian was also injured.
“I have spoken with the administration of Kinnaur Regency and asked about the accident and gave instructions needed to the administration to provide all possible assistance to those affected in the incident,” he said, adding that the administration had started aid work in place and immediately.
Relief is provided for affected.
