9 Trekkers among the dead because the Uttarakhand toll road rose to 64; Losses are placed at Rs 7,000 Crore

Dehradun / Shimla: With more restored bodies and many of them were lost declared dead, victims in Uttarakhand Rain and Floods stood in 64 on Thursday.
Among those who were found dead or fear to die were nine trekkers, five of them at Kinnaur at Himachal Pradesh.
Nainital remained the worst hit in terms of the victim because the death toll in the district rose to 34, followed by Champatan District where 11 people had died.
Nearly 17 Tim NDRF, 60 Tim SDRF, 15 PAC companies and 5,000 police personnel are still involved in rescue operations and assistance in the Kumaon division.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said the damage caused by floods and landslides over the past few days had been tentatively accessed at Rs 7,000 Crore for the country.
He added that the loss loss could exceed the 10,000 crore RS so the last estimate in the region, the body of five trekkers was restored in Kinnaur while two were saved alive.
It comes even when four more trekkers – all of Kolkata – reportedly died during the trip to the Sundhunga Valley on Kumaon.

Extreme weather in two Himalayas has left the hordes of tourists stranded.
At least 80 tourists, most of West Bengal, Punjab, Delhi and Himachal, have been stranded in Cancel in the Himachal Spital Valley since Sunday when heavy snowflows blocked the Pantai-Kaza highway.
They have taken refuge in two Dhabas and the government’s rest house.
More than 100 tourists currently stranded in Darma and Byas Valleys in Uttarakhand and the district government has decided to transport it.
Himachal Pradesh’s authority said that the trekker’s body would be flown to Uttarkashi on Friday as bad weather prevented the sortie helicopter on Thursday.
The rescue team consisting of army and ITBP personnel in Kinnaur Regency has restored the body and saved two climbers.

He said the center had released RS 749 Crore assistance as the center center under the state disaster date (SDRF).
More than 3,500 people have been saved and more than 16,000 people have been evacuated to safer places as precautions, and there are no reports of losing the lives of every tourist so far, Shah said.
Toi has found that at least nine trekkers from outside the country have lost their lives since October 17 after extreme weather conditions.
