Guwahati: More than 358 micro detention zones, identified as ‘high case areas’, contributing to more than 90% of everyday cases in Assam, senior health department officials said on Wednesday.
Although Assam has a low level of participation when compared to other countries in the region, around 1,700 cases are reported every day, which is the highest in the northeast.
Five districts in the state are under hours of night throughout the hour.
“Our focus now in all arrangements.
If we can reduce the number of cases in this identified bag, Assam will recover from the second wave,” Assam National Health Mission (NHM) Executive Director, Dr.
Manoj Choudhury, told TOI on the day Wednesday.
The area where cases are reported to have been intended, he said, except in Guwahati.
“In Guwahati there is a constant movement of people at the airport and the train station where people have tested positive.
But in rural districts, focused areas are well marked and put down.
Most infection is tested in the detention zone,” Choudhury added.
During the second wave, 7,900 locations were converted into a micro detention zone in the state, but the number of active micro detention zones had decreased dramatically.
“At least 50% of these micro detention zones exist in five districts under the curfew,” he said.
‘Witnessing a decline in the COV Daily Case’Asm, Dr.
Rathindra Bhuyan said that there had been a gradual decline in the number of cases of everyday.
“At present, we see a decrease in the number of daily cases of 200 to 300 after a week’s gap.
The numbers dropped slowly,” he said.
Uneven Covid’s front trends also disrupted health experts in Assam where the rate returned beyond 2%.
After 12 days, the country’s front minister touched 2.09% on Wednesday.
The last time the leader was fired beyond 2% on July 9 when it recorded a rate of 2.13%.
The number of tests was reduced dramatically on Wednesday, compared to the previous day when 1,798 cases were detected.
Nearly 1,547 people were tested positive even though the number of tests dropped from 1.42 lakh Tuesday up to 74.114 on Wednesday.
Kamrup (Metro) tests 193 positive cases.
While the recovery rate increased to 96.06%, Covid’s death has returned to 25.
Daily Covid fatality fell to 10 on Tuesday.
Considering the weekly decline trend, Assam might be released with Covid mostly in August.
However, the third wave that might remain a pain point.
“If the third wave comes, Assam can be problematic because it is less vaccinated.
The second wave is still here even though Delhi sees a real recovery a few days ago,” said a senior health official.
