90% of the demands of workers are fulfilled: Pramod Sawant

PANAJI: Even after the state government has agreed to most of the demands of workers’ workers, the deadlock continues with a salary increase.
Anganwadi workers have decided to continue their agitation until all their demands are fulfilled, and will decide their actions in the future on Friday.
The Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that around 90% of the demands of workers have been fulfilled.
He also said that most workers did not know why they broke down.
Sawant held a meeting with workers along with the opposition leader drawing KAmat.
He said both Kamat and the workers of Anganwadi did not realize their demands.
He said that the strike was caused by a struggle between two union and united workers.
The minister’s chairman said that they had into their demands to the Director of Women and the development of children on December 8.
“I have been through their demands, and out of them around 13 demands, requests to increase their salaries were met in November and circular was released on December 20th.
They did not realize it,” he said.
Sawant said that the government had decided to provide a revised salary from April 1, 2021 and arrears will be paid.
He also said that the second request to increase retirement benefits was also met by the government last month.
Advice for Anganwadi workers, Hrudaynath Shirodkar said that they did not agree with the salary increase by the state government.
“We want a 30% salary increase.
Once we get his salary, we will calculate the difference and return to the government,” Shirodkar said.
Kamat said that the circle was issued on December 20, but has not been carried out until now.
