Patna: At least 92 female commanders trained in forest warfare, counterractisal counter and anti-terrorism at the line of the central armed police forces is likely to be appointed in the Bihar police.
The female command will be back soon after completing their eight-week training at the Mudkhed CRPF training center in Maharashtra.
Gali (BMP) Garima Mallik and BMP-3 Commander who were placed in Bodh style, Sushil Kumar, left for Maharashtra next week to bring command to Bihar.
All 92 women’s commanders, were chosen for special training to fight terrorism, Maoist activities, and organized crime, under 30 years old.
They will then be deployed in VVIP security such as SSG from state police, who are responsible for CM security.
The source said the trained woman’s command will reach Bihar from Maharashtra on September 16.
“They will then be appointed into the State Police as a special command.
They are proficient in forest warfare, battle without weapons, battling courses of hurdle attacks, VIP security, urban operations and advanced battle skills,” added source.
These commands must spend a week in remote forests with a survival kit to complete their training.
In addition, they have provided training to handle weapons such as Insas, SLR, AK-47, MP-5, MP-9 and LMG.
A senior police officer, who monitors training, said this command was trained for room intervention and search operations in densely populated areas with the help of helicopters.
“They have been trained to move on foot with their weapons and weigh 12kg on their army,” he added.
Before being sent for special training, this command must complete pre-courses training at BMP-5 headquarters.
In all, 134 personnel from 13 BMP battalions, Mahila Battalion and Swabhiman Battalion were chosen for this purpose.
However, only 92 were sent for training to the CRPF training center at Mudkhet on June 26.
Of the 92 personnel, 27 came from the Swabhiman Battalion and 15 of Mahila Battalion.
The rest has been taken from other BMP battalions.
The Bihar Government, can be recalled, has provided a 35% reservation to women in the police service.
