Panaji: Tally of Fatality Covid-19 Goa was shot to 3,483 on Thursday because 94 deaths that occurred between August 2020 and June 2021 were added.
Death reporting occurs because hospitals do not report these numbers on time.
Reporting late about Covid’s death has happened even after the hospital was warned.
Meanwhile, the state reported 31 fresh infections for the past 24 hours, due to 65 which was recorded on Wednesday.
Wednesday’s increase had raised its concerns, but Dr.
Ira Almeida, Director of Health Services, said they had not detected more a group of cases than the two reported last week.
Last week, 25 defense personnel at Navelim Camp in South Goa, and nine children at the house of children managed by the state in North Goa were found positive.
Almeida said they had to watch for a few more days to see if infection was increasing.
