PANAJI: Minister of Health Vishwajit Rane on Friday said that 95% of the qualified population had completed the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
He also said that there was no lack of oxygen in the state.
Rane said that patients with Covid-19 were infected with omicron variants mostly chose home care and there were some inpatients.
“Omicron is common across the country and we must deal with it.
To anticipate that there might be an increase in case, we have made all the provisions about what needs to be done in stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 and level 1, level 2 and level 3,” Rane said.
Asked whether there was a need to impose a holster or curfew to control the spread of omicron, he said, “When you make a decision, it must be a whole decision.
Every decision like that must be overalled by the government.
The days of isolation have been reduced by 10 to Seven.
