Lucknow: More than 96% of the eligible country population have taken at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine, showing data from the State Health Department.
The total number of first dose takers in the state reaches 14.2 crores on Saturday.
The population that is fully vaccinated reaches 8.5 crores.
The other 3.8 lakh has taken a prevention dose while the number of teenagers has taken their first dose past 50.9 lakh on Saturday.
Meanwhile, new cases continue to soar in the state.
In accordance with the official bulletin, 15,795 new cases were reported from 75 districts.
Among all, Lucknow saw 2,769 cases followed by Gautambuddhnagar, Ghaziabad and meerut where 1,873, 1,371 and 1,135 new cases were recorded.
New cases take the country’s active case tally to 95,148 of which less than 3% of patients under hospitalization.
Officials showed that four people died because infection took the total death to 22,953.
