9,631 Naxals held since 2000: DGP

Ranchi: Director General of Police (DGP) Neeraj Sinha has stated that Jharkhand police have arrested 9,631 extremists during sustainable operation since the country’s establishment in 2000.Speaking after unfurling a national flag at the National Police Headquarters, said DGP among the extremists arrested, three each -Masing is a Politbiro and a member of the Central Committee, 27 members of the Special Area Committee, 11 is a member of the Regional Committee, 90 is the commander of the zone, 263 is the Regional Commander and 420 is a regional commander.
He added that during the operation carried out since the last moment, the police arrested a member of the Politburo, a member of the Central Committee, a member of the bag, two members of the Regional Committee, 10 Zone Commanders, 31 Regional Commanders and 42 Regional Commanders.
He said the police also arrested 4,342 weapons, including 524 police weapons and 693 regular weapons.
He said, “We not only aim to curb criminal activities but also discuss extremism from the country.
In the past few days, ultras have tried to spread terror but cannot succeed because of the alertness of the police.” DGP praised the police to risk their lives during the covid pandemic applies to ensure the law and order of citizens.
