97% of active cases in house isolation

Bhubaneswar: A total of 97% of Covid’s total patients are currently in isolation of houses and do not require hospitalization, revealed during a review meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary of the Semrafter Chandra Mohapatra.
Of the 16,117 active positive cases, 15,640 were in isolation of houses and attended by a fast response team.
The discussion at the meeting also revealed that a total of 7,181 beds supported by oxygen, around 1,000 pediatric beds, 2,024 intensive care units (ICU) and high dependency units (HDU) and 874 beds with ventilators were available in the district-in-the-district third possible.
“From existing infrastructure, only about 3% of the general bed, 11% ICU and 3% of the ventilator is being used,” the official statement said.
The main secretary directs the district collector to maintain additional facilities in readiness so this can be provided like and if needed.
The collectors were also asked to recruit retired doctors and nurse locally.
Mohapatara also asked the district collectors to visit all Covid hospitals personally to oversee the arrangements such as the availability of drugs, personnel, instruments, pathological test facilities, oxygen, smooth recognition in patients, proper care, nurses and nurses.
As a dose of booster for frontline workers and health care will be given from Monday, Mohapatra on Sunday directs the collector to ensure it is given to priority to doctors, nurses, and health care workers on Covid tasks.
CDMO and public health workers are asked to continue with a dose of booster with available vaccines.
