Coimbatore: Examples of spirits smuggling and slipping are to the increase in the district together with the Tasmac sockets and pubs staying closed due to this lockdown.On Thursday alonethe district reported such instances – two guys broke into a Tasmac socket on Sulur-Kangeyampalayam street and left off with 972 bottles of liquor worth Rs 1.73 lakh, whereas the other two thirds 320 bottles of spirits to Bharathi Nagar close Mettupalayam out of Karnataka.
The Sulur authorities said two unidentified individuals, that had covered their faces clothes, entered the Tamac store in their jurisdiction by creating a pit on the wall at the wee hours of this afternoon.
A police officer said that the incident came to light when they seen the socket during the nighttime .

The Mettupalayam authorities said that they stopped the truck in Bharathi Nagar from the afternoon according to a suggestion that two individuals were smuggling liquor bottles hiding them at a truck filled with paper.A police officer recognized that the accused motorist since K Babu alias Muniyappan, 45, of Badugar Colony in Mettupalayam, along with truck proprietor C Rajendran, also a resident of Gandhi Nagar.
