972 bottles of Spirits stolen from Tasmac Store

COIMBATORE: 2 unidentified men uttered 972 bottles of spirits, value 1.73 lakh, by a Tasmac socket at Sulur close Coimbatore in the wee hours of Thursday.
Both guys, that covered their faces cloths, entered the Tasmac store (No 1836) situated about the Kalangal — Kangeyampalayam Road after placing a pit on the back wall.
The theft came to light when the Sulur authorities, who had been on nighttime rounds, assessed the spirits store and discovered the gap to the wall.
Instantly, they alarmed greater officials who hurried to the place.
Law enforcement gathered CTV footage in the store.
Duo detained for smuggling spirits The Mettupalayam police detained a truck owner and also a truck driver for smuggling liquor from Karnataka.
The arrested have been identified as C Rajendran of all Mettupalayam, who’s the truck operator, and motorist K Babu alias Muniyappan, 45.
The Mettupalayam police obtained a tip-off on Thursday morning two guys were smuggling liquor at a vehicle by concealing them at a heap of newspaper.
The truck was going into Mettupalayam out of Karnataka.
The authorities stopped the truck found 320 bottles of liquor worth Rs 1.14 lakh.
The authorities captured the spirits along with the truck.
