Ahmedabad: The Ministry of Health Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has provided the first dose of Covid Vaccination to 99% of the city population that qualifies for a temporary vaccination of 50% of the population has received a dose.
“The population of 46.24 cities at the age of 18 years and over who qualified to get a vaccine.
AMC which began vaccination mid-January has provided the first dose to 45.75 lakh population (99%) while 23.30 lakh (50%) People have received a dose so far, “said the AMC Bhavin Soarki medical health worker.
He added that the civil body aims to complete the administration of the first vaccination dose by Diwali, which falls in the first week of November.
The official said there were around 50,000 people the second dose vaccination limit took place a month ago but they still haven’t taken second jab.
“We call these people repeatedly remind them to get their second dose,” Solanki said.
Starting September 17, AMC established vaccination booths on AMTS, BRTS standing, in civil centers, community centers, in shopping centers and hospitals.
The Civic Body also started last week’s doorstep vaccination service for people with disabilities and for those aged 50 years and over.
AMC has also used five AMTS and two BRTS buses as cellular vaccination centers.
