Noida: District has been inoculating almost 100% of the estimated population that meets the requirements with the first dose of the covid vaccine.
The target population for vaccination is 15.89,815 and in accordance with official data, until Thursday, 15,70,420 people have taken their first dose, which is around 99%.
Officials said the estimated population had been resolved by the state based on the latest selection scrolls.
But Gautam Budh Nagar also has a large floating population.
At present, this district is inoculating more than 5,000 people every day and around 4,000 people get JAB in government centers.
“Noida is home to lakh people who have moved recently and they are not registered on selection rolls.
There are also many people from neighboring districts who live here while and do not change their voter IDs.
Therefore, only Using roller rolls to find out the estimated population may not be the best method.
The current population may be 20-30% more than that number and around four lakh people must be added to the target, “said Amit Gupta, a member of the Progressive Community Foundation in Noida, a group of residents.
Resident’s body representatives say they still get a request to arrange inoculation camps for people who have not taken the first dose.
“There are many people in the housing community in Greater Noida who have not received a vaccine.
Some people have not taken shots because they go down with Covid in April and May.
Also, most of the new residents in the city and do not have their names in the selection roll,” said Manish Kumar, noida extension residents.
He added that the only government vaccination camp was at the Public Health Center in Bibrakh and more sites needed for residents.
Meanwhile, the health department shifted the focus to the second dose.
Officials said six centers had been opened exclusively for the second dose and around 2,400 doses were available in each.
But these sites opened last week and around 1,500 doses were given every day.
“Apart from the 35 regular centers where both doses are given, there are six centers that only take a walk for the second dose four days a week.
But not many people appear,” said Chief Medical Officer Dr.
Sunil Sharma.
The six centers dedicated to the second dose is the primary health center in Jahangirpur (BEFF), Shyamnagar Dankaur bath, UPHC Sector 22, Mihirbhoj Inter College in Dadri and UPHC Bhangel.
According to the Ministry of Health estimation, for now, around four lakh people have not received their second dose.
