If you are someone who is used to activate Android Auto when you step into your car then you will lose the features you use most often.
With an Android 12 update, Android automatically for mobile screens is no longer supported.
This means, you can no longer use Android automatically on your smartphone screen and use Android Auto you will need a compatible car screen.
With an automatic Android for a cellphone screen, you can project your mobile interface to your car’s dashboard by just connecting your mobile.
It offers large icons and offers support for Google Assistants too.
But if you want to enjoy a similar experience now, you must use the driving assistant mode.
In a statement given to 9To5Google, Google said, “Google’s driving driving mode is the next evolution of the cellular driving experience.
For people who use Android automatically in supported vehicles, that experience will not be lost.
For those who use the experience on the phone (Automatic Android mobile application), they will be transmitted to Google Assistant driving mode.
Starting with Android 12, Google’s Driving Assistant Mode will be a default cellular drive experience.
We don’t have further details to be distributed today.
“Driving mode assistant might look more Good in the car dashboard but not user friendly as an automatic android for the phone screen.
This is because you use it, you must use Google Maps and activate driving mode.
Only that’s when you will get access to calls, messages, and other applications on your larger car screen.
Now, if you head to a known location, you might not always want to use Google Maps, which without it you will not be able to access features.
Automatic Android for mobile screens does not have such requirements and all you have to do is connect your mobile.
According to the report by the XDA developer, a pixel device with Android 12 has already shown a notification that says Android Auto is only available for car screens and on the phone, you must use Google Assistant driving mode.
So, until your Android phone gets the latest Android 12 update, you can continue to use it but in the end you need to shift into driving mode or improve your car’s infotainment system.
