BANGKOK: Thailand passes 1 million Friday Koronavirus infection as a new surge down under 20,000 cases for the first time in 10 days.
More than 97 percent of cases were calculated since the pandemic began in April.
Outbreaks that are connected to Bangkok entertainment and travel during traditional new years in mid-April grow more seriously when Delta variants are detected in crowded construction worker camps and spread to markets, communities and families.
The government closed public places and imposed other restrictions last month, but infection and death remained high.
But on Friday, the Daily Statistics Report the Disease Control Department showed the average number of Covid-19 tests had fallen for the past seven days.
Thailand reported 19,851 new cases on Friday.
Apisamai Srirangsan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Covid-19 government administration center, said in the briefing that despite the number of daily cases remained high, it seemed quite steady.
