New Delhi: US President Joe Biden on Friday said the great evacuation of Americans and Afghan allies from Afghanistan was a risky operation and he could not guarantee the final results.
Biden, in his speech at the White House East Room, said the United States was in close contact with the Taliban to get access to Kabul airport for US aligned Afghans.
Biden also said that there were 6,000 soldiers in the field.
Two leading Friday human rights organizations for President Joe Biden to extend the August deadline for US forces to leave Kabul to help evacuate the retaliation of Taliban who was afraid of Afghanistan.
Sarah Holewinski, Head of the Washington Bureau at Human Rights Watch, said that at the most risky press conference Afghanistan would not be able to come out before the deadline unless flight from Kabul increased.
Speaking from an undisclosed location, Shaharzad Akbar, the head of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission, said Afghanistan was afraid of being abandoned by Washington.
