‘Shersaah’ starred in Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, produced by Karan Johar and Shabbir Boxwalla, have received praise from critics and Janta both.
This film was directed by Wisnuvardhan.
Etime has an exclusive chat with captain Vikram Batra – Mr.
Giridhar Lal Batra and Mrs.
Kamal Kanta Batra.
Don’t miss the video below.
This is a quote:
How similar and different are Vikram Sir and Visal Sir when they are in their youth and childhood?
BATRA: Both do very well in academics.
Vishal is used to print more than Vikram.
On the other hand, Vishal is more diligent in learning, while Vikram is more inclined to extracurricular activities.
Wise body, Vikram is very strong and vashal slim.
Who is naughty from both?
Mrs.
Batra: Both are naughty but their jokes are very sweet, it doesn’t bother us.
How do you know that a film on your son, Captain Vikram Batra, is being planned?
Mrs.
Batra: We got a call from the ‘Shersaah’ maker who wanted them to make a movie like that.
They called my husband and took permission.
After that they came and discussed the same thing.
BATRA: That’s Mr.
Shabbir Boxwalla who first came up with this idea.
He is a co-producer in the film; He met me and discussed it long.
I shared to Him about the childhood of Vikram, school, college, joined the army and the war period.
After that, he approached Dharma Productions to produce films together with him.
That’s how Karan Johar entered.
Do you have worries about how the whole will be played on the screen?
BATRA: Yes, we have a little hichkichahat (hesitant) but we have expressed the same doubts even when J P Dutta came to us for ‘Loc: Cargil’.
We have told him that please don’t show anything in the wrong way so that it can cause anyone to lift the finger.
That’s why we do everything peacefully and reasonably.
Are you involved in the casting process?
BATRA: There are many names that appear but finally Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani were resolved.
Like us, Sidharth is Punjabi Khatri.
We are happy with the choice to throw it.
Kiara Advani is a good actress who comes well.
We are fine with the casting too.
They keep us on loops about their casting.
What is your reaction when Vikram Sir first told you that he wanted to join troops?
Mrs.
Batra: In the second year of her lecture, she decided to join Navy Merchant and she was chosen.
Only three days before joining, he asked if we needed money in life.
I told him that with God’s grace, we were independent.
He said that then he would join the army and not a navy.
He explained it, said, ‘KUCH KUCH KARNA Chahta Hoon Aur Kuch Banna Chahta Hoon Aur Woh Main Tabhi Kar Sakta Hoon When I joined the army’.
Mr.
Batra: We support his decision.
The army gives you a very disciplined and respectful life.
Our ancestors are also in the army.
We are Kshatriyas and always brave.
He used a 50 percent prize in school sports.
He excelled in the NCC.
He is also very jovial.
Every time he comes home, he’s happy.
He is a Yaaron KaAry (your best friend if you think of it).
He has a lot of full quality.
What do you think about this film?
Mr.
Batra: ‘Shershaah’ is a very nice and artificial film.
I think Sidharth and Kiara have done a very good job.
Sidharth’s entry is also very good.
Wisnuvardhan has directed it very well.
Is Vikram Batra, Soulmate Dimple Cheema connects you?
Mr.
Batra: He called about twice a year on our respective birthdays.
Love between Captain Vikram and dimples is very strong.
He is not married …
Mr.
Batra: As long as my child is not on the wrong track, I have always been a liberal father.
Vikram has told us about dimples and their intention to get married.
I told him that I was with them in their decision.
I know from the start that cheeks are very respectful girl who understands the relationship.
After the cargil war, we told him to get married because he had life ahead.
His parents also told him the same.
But he told us that he would not marry and underwent the rest of his life with Vikram’s memory.
