Gurgaon: In the midst of heavy resistance from the locals, the Enforcement Team of the City and State Planning Department (DTCP) destroyed 10 structures while destroying illegal colonies spread across 15 hectares in the 72A sector on Friday.
Officials said the builders – NKV developers – did not obey the orders even though they were heated against them in June 2019 and two drives demolition was carried out in February and July 2020.
District City Planner (Enforcement) Batth Demolition said in the 72a sector in the illegal colony developed NKV builder’s name around 15 hectares.
“During the drive, 10 structures under construction were destroyed and the road network was destroyed with the help of three earthmovers,” he said.
He added that the previous colony was also destroyed and in July, a team had visited the colony and warned people not to carry out further construction in the colony.
But offenders do not stop, therefore drives demolition is done.
In future actions against violators, BATTH says the department is in the process of identifying builders, brokers and other people, which is part of the project, and will file a shot upon them.
“We have a strict command from the director to take such cases to conclude to prevent illegal colonies come again,” he said.
Ashish Sharma City Assistant Planner said the encouragement was very opposed to the locals, but the police managed to control the situation.
“People who have invested in the plot and construction tells the officials that they have been cheated by builders,” he said.
A buyer said investors were innocent because they were not aware of the legal status of colonies, builders hid facts and sell plots to them.
“We have invested our lifetime savings in the plot and after the DTCP action, it looks like we have lost everything,” he added.
