Ahmedabad: The death of a child in the Rajkot district became the first victim of Covid-19 in the past eight days, taking the country’s death to 10,079.
With four positive Covid-19 cases and seven releases, active cases in Ahmedabad were reduced to 57.
Overall, Gujarat had 184 active cases.
New cases include five of the city of Vadodara, four of the city of Ahmedabad, three from the city of Letters, and each from Anand City, Bhavnagar and Rajkot.
About 87% of everyday cases come from urban areas.
Only Ahmedabad and Vadodara have more than 50 active cases, while 13 districts have zero active cases.
