New Delhi: Bishwamitra Chongtham India (51kg) Sailed to the semifinals along with three compatriots, convinced themselves from at least a bronze medal in the ASBC Youth and Junior Boxing Championship in Dubai on Sunday.
Bishwamitra, the world youth championship bronze medal, proved too strong for Kenzhe Muratul Kazakhstan when he showed fast movements and technical skills to secure an easy 5-0 victory.
Abhimanyu Loura (92kg), Deepak (75kg) and Preeti (57kg) are other Indians to reach the semifinals.
In the quarter-finals of the middle class, Deepak, opposed Dhurgham Karim Iraq, dominating the trial from the word Go.
He landed a busy blow to his opponent in the third round, forcing the referee to stop the contest.

However, junior champions will be given by USD 4,000 and USD 2,000 and 1,000 for the silver and bronze medalist.
