Erode: Perlaundurai Police in Erode Tamil Nadu Regency arrested two citizens of Bangladesh on Monday on charges of planning communal clashes between Hindus and Muslims.
The police have also launched a search for two other Bangladesh citizens.
Arrest has been identified as n Mujam Mondal, and n Ebadhul Ali, 22.
Inspector of the Polda Perdundai A Thangam received complaints from alias alias Mijamul Haji, 26, Panikampalayam on August 19, stated that four Bangladesh citizens planned to cause communal clashes between Hindus and Hindus and Muslims in the area.
“The complainant mentioned in the petition that the four men planned to destroy the Hindu temple or steal the god ornaments,” the inspector said.
The question revealed that the complainant was involved in providing workers to construction sites in and around Perutai.
“The complainant stated that one of the four men, who was identified as Jahangir, had approached him to work one year ago.
Jahangir produced an Aadhaar and voter identity card,” Inspector said.
He approached the Ujal one month ago looking for a job for three other people – Mudal Mondal, Ebadhul Ali and Aakash.
The police found that Aadhaar’s identity card and fake voters.
On July 28, the police have arrested ten citizens of Bangladesh to remain without a valid passport and visa.
“The four men often meet after the arrest of 10 Bangladesh citizens.
They get lost when they think that Hindus does not allow Muslims, especially those from Bangladesh, to work in Perundurai,” said Thangam.
“They have planned to escape to Bangladesh after causing communal clashes here,” Inspector added.
The police arrested the duo below, 153A (by giving provocations with the intention to cause riots) and (1) (A) (promoting hostility between different groups) IPC, read with parts of the passport law (entering India) Act.
They are returned in judicial custody.
