Dharamsala: Himachal Governor Pradesh Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Monday advising young graduates to become employers not job seekers.
Overcoming the 16th Convocation of Agricultural University Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh in Palampur nearby, the Governor said, “Your knowledge must be beneficial for the community and the agricultural community.”

He said the nation could only develop when young people focused, discipline and growth oriented and urged them to instill good values such as discipline, patriotism, sincerity and dedication.
Arlekar appealed to young scientists and degree holders to become employers instead of job seekers, which they must move towards Entrepreneurship.
Overcoming the meeting, Chairman of the Minister of Jai Ram Thakur said the Institute was one of the leading universities in agricultural research and education in the countries of the Himalayas in the country.
He said that around 90 percent of the Himachal Pradesh population lived in rural areas with agriculture as their main job, thus research in agriculture became increasingly important in strengthening the country’s economy.
Given the agricultural contribution, the state government has launched various schemes to increase productivity, produce work and increase family income, he added.
As many as 393 students – 262 graduates, 110 graduate and 21 PhD holders – was awarded the title at the meeting, said the representative of Chancellor Harinder Kumar Chaudhary.
