Mumbai: Police Officer 40 years old die from suicide at his residence in Andheri East on Sunday while the family was out visiting relatives for Raksha Bandhan.
His motives are not clear as far as no suicide note was found.
MIDC police have recorded cases of unintentional death.
Suresh Chavan posted in Mumbra Police Station.
He stayed at Marol in East andher with his wife and their two children, aged eight and 10 years.
On Sunday, Chavan was alone in the house after his wife and children went to the celebration of Raksha Bandhan.
In the evening, visit her brother at around 18:30 at night and knocked on the door.
But Chavan will not answer.
Worried, his brother forced the door open only to find Chavan hanging from a ceiling fan.
He rushed to the Police Hospital in andher Holy Spirit, where the doctor killed at 7:45 at night.
Policing the police put an end to life while the family out for Raksha Bandhan.
