Coimbatore: Snatcher chains that were transmitted on motorbikes encouraged a guy-based man and his wife before escaping with a six-sovereign gold chain on Monday.
N Vincent, 57 and his wife Nirmala, 53, from RR Apartment, headed to the bank in the city of Coimbatore on their bicycle on Monday morning when criminals targeted them.
“When a pair reached a higher government in Sundapalaryam, two men on motorbikes followed him and gave Vincent encouragement.
He lost control of the two wheels and the couple fell on the ground.
The young men seized the Nirmala gold chain and managed to escape from the place , “said a police officer.
The injured couple went to a private hospital, where the doctor examined it.
Vincent suffered a fracture in his hand and Nirmala, who suffered minor injuries, treated as outpatient.
Vincent was treated at a private hospital in Coimbatore City.
Based on Vincent’s complaint, Vadavalli police registered a case and formed a special team to arrest the perpetrator.
