JAMSHEDPUR: More than 300 jewelry throughout the Jamshedpur window on Monday as a protest against the unique ID system (HUID) Center for ornaments.
Jamshedpur Jewelers Association President Vipin Adesra clarified that they did not oppose the policy of characteristics but said Huid would not benefit customers or shop owners.
He said under this distinctive characteristic system, there is no provision to protect the interests of customers and give them quality products.
He said in parts of employers, those found did not follow the system would be responsible for legal actions, which in the coming days if not revoked, will promote “inspector of Raj” from the past.
So Adesra wants the center to immediately change the policy for the interests of customers and shop owners.
In particular, strike tokens were called by the All Indian Gem and the Jewelry Domestic Council and supported by more than 350 associations throughout the country.
According to jewelry, they cannot accept new Huid because there has been nothing to do with the purity of gold.
The new Huid bus will increase the purity of gold but the jewelry thinks it’s just a tracking mechanism.
Jewelry said the new Huid system is not too easy because there are many problems like double Huid in the same part, the same as a few pieces of jewelry and so on.
Gold netmarchy, the purity certification of precious metals, is voluntary so far.
Jewelers who sell non-certified products are facing a fine from September.
Gold concern must have been valid from June 16 gradually.
The government has identified 256 districts from 28 states and the United States for Phase-1 implementation and applies to jewelry with an annual turnover above RS 40 Lakh.
Secretary of the Jewelers Jewelers Association Kamal Singhania said this distinctive characteristic system was also a time-consuming process.
So, customers and jewelry must face problems because the delivery of ornaments will take longer.
