Chennai: Cybercrime Wing Police City Chennai caught two men to imitate the actor Kollywood Arya and deceived a Tamil Sri Lanka woman settled in Germany promising to marry her after taking Hospital 65 lakh.
The Cybercrime wing police led by Police Inspector Geetha narrowed to the suspects, identified as Mohammad Arman and Mohammad Hussisah from Pulianthope, by tracking their cash flow and addressing their internet protocol (IP) used to chat with women.
The police team beat the duo from their residence.
They will be returned in prison on Wednesday morning.
Previously, Police Wing Cybercrime had called the actor.
He appeared in front of the police twice.
A Cybercrime wing police said, “After asking Arya, we arrived at the conclusion that someone had imitated him and cheated the money from the woman.
Then we track the suspect and finally arrest them.”
