Rumy Jafry filmmakers fell with Covid-19 and could not participate in the film’s promotion ‘Chehre’, which was scheduled to release this Friday.
The filmmaker said, “I was in Hyderabad for my daughter’s wedding and all my friends including Neetu Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and many other friends attended the wedding held in the first week of August.
I thank God that I contracted the disease only at 15 August.
Everyone who came to the wedding home safely.
”
So will the filmmaker will watch the film itself, which is said to Rumy, “Fortunately for me all the work around the film has finished including promos and other things that were done before when the film was scheduled to be released in April so there was nothing to worry about that department too.
”
Rumy is currently in quarantine and will take another test this weekend.
He said, “If I test the negative I will be able to come to Mumbai or the others will watch movies in Hyderabad on release day.”
‘Chehre’ is an important film for Rumy Jafry who has typecast as a writer.
There is a common picture that he only wrote comedy and therefore he had a point to prove.
He is proud of the fact that he comes from the background of the literature and theater and can write more than a hard dialogue.
He said, “Amitabh Bachchan always believes in my talent and told me to move forward and work on the trouble with the promise that he would be part of my film.

He added, “There is not much for a director in a comedy and it is a challenging thriller and gives a filmmaker to prove his courage.
