‘Matrix 4’ finally has an official title!
Warner Brothers on Tuesday launched the first trailer of their new film titled ‘The Matrix: Resurrects’, played exclusively for the Cinemacon audience.
This clip has not been released for online view.
The fourth film from the ‘The Matrix’ franchise, will see Lana Wachowski returned to the director’s seat and brought Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, as their character of Neo and Trinity.
According to a report on Hollywood news portal, the two characters are very appearing in the trailer.
According to Hollywood reporter, the trailer starts with Thomas Anderson (Reeves aka Neo) in therapy, tells his therapist (Neil Patrick Harris), “I dreamed which was not just a dream.
Am I crazy?”
While he felt that everything was not true with the world, he did not have memory of the matrix.
He then ran to a woman (Moss) at a coffee shop, but no one remembered the others.
While trying to adjust to the ways of the world where people were fixated on their cellphones, Thomas Reges appeared across a man (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) who reminded Morpheus, Freedom Fighter was originally played by Laurence Fishburne.
This mysterious man drowned red pills, and it cut his footage in the matrix with new strength.
The trailers displayed in Cinemacon will be reported to have a visual style similar to the original, as well as some fresh VFX tricks.
‘The Matrix 4’, also featured Jada Pinkett Smith, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris.
Actor Jessica Henwick, Telma Hopkins, Erendira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Christina Ricci and Brian J Smith completed the cast.
The film is set to Premiere on December 22, 2021, in the cinema and on the OTT streaming platform.
WB also dropped clips from the upcoming slate, including a closer look at Robert Pattinson ‘The Batman’ and Timothee Chalamet and ‘Dune’, and recordings of ‘ferocious’ James Wan,’ Cry Macho ‘,’ The Sopranos’ Prequel ‘ Many Newark Saints and ‘King Richard’ Smith.
