Patna: Three people have been arrested for their suspicion in throwing used cars in the Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras at Chourasia Chowk in Hajipur on Monday night.
They were arrested from Badi Yusufpur Village under the area of the Industrial Police Office in Hajipur.
A woman identified as Laxmi Devi (40) from Badi Yusufpur has thrown a lubricant at the minister.
He managed to escape.
The people who were arrested were allegedly as a passionate supporter of Paras’s older brother late Ram Vilas Paswan.
Ram Vilas, LJP founder, has won from the Hajipur Lok Sabha chair until 2019 when he lowered the paras from there.
However, Paras divided LJP and replaced the son of Ram Vilas and Jamui MP Chirag Paswan as the leader of the parliamentary party at Lok Sabha and the party’s president in June this year.
Later, Paras made a United minister.
Sho Industrial Police Station Santosh Kumar said the people arrested were Navin Kumar (25), Anil Paswan (35) and Tribhuvan Paswan (37).
He said Navin was Laxmi’s son.
He said at all 11 people, including Laxmi, crowned as accused of in FIR.
“The villagers told the police that the defendant was a vibrant supporting of Ram Vilas.
They were angry with the paras for causing a split in the LJP and replacing Chirag,” Sho said.
Kumar said a program was held near Chowk to welcome Paras, who had reached his election for the first time after becoming a minister.
“Laxmi, with flags and ljp flowers, standing with a bag where he keeps a polythene bag filled with a used car.
When the minister reached there, he threw a lubricant through the window of his SUV,” he said.
Vaishali SP Maneesh said further investigation was happening in this case.
“A pine has been registered in the incident on Sho’s statement,” he said.
