New Delhi: The biggest power manufacturer of India NTPC has recruited a group of all women’s Engineering Executive Coach, marking the energy industry first in affirmative action on gender diversity.
This step is part of a government-managed company plan to establish operating space of all women in the near future, underlining efforts to improve the prospect of career growth for female employees.
The latest plants of women’s engineering graduates are selected based on their performance at the gate 2021 in electrical, mechanical, electronic and instrumentation disciplines.
Of the 50 offers made by NTPC, 30 female executive training participants have joined the company until August 16, the company said in a statement.

Batch All of these women are undergoing customized induction-cum-training programs in NTPC’s state-of-the-the-the-the-world learned learned located in Sipat, Vindhyachal and Simhadri power plants.
“NTPC has worked on the increase in gender ratios anywhere.
It always believes in providing the same opportunity for all parts of society and consciously promoting diversity through their recruitment practices,” said the company.
To support women’s workforce, the company offers special child care for child adoption / child delivery through Surrogacy in addition to legal benefits such as child leave with salary, maternity leave, company said.
