Kolkata: A week after the Calcutta High Court ordered the CBI investigation into alleged murder and atrocities against women after the results of the Bengal selection, the Central Investigation Agency on Thursday in this connection.
These cases include the alleged murder of Abhijit Sarkar, a ‘Yogyakarta BJP, in Belaphata.
The CBI team reached Abhijit’s house on Thursday morning, a few days after they recorded his brother’s statement.
The brothers had previously filed an official complaint that detailed the incident on May 2, when Abhijit – the carrier of the Bharatiya Mazdoor trade union office – was beaten and strangled to death.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has mentioned the incident in detail before Bench HC five members.
After the post-Mortem Abhijit examination was carried out the next day, his family had refused to take the body, demanding autopsy videography.
The body is sent for another autopsy.
His mother in his complaint said seven to eight people had asked Abhijit to get out of his house.
He was then allegedly beaten with a stick before being dragged.
CBI officials talk to members of the Abhijit family and mark the site, trying to reconstruct the incident.
They also took land samples from outside the house.
While the CBI team was investigating, two officials from the Department of Homicide Regional Police Kolkata arrived at the place.
Bisjangit, who had previously filed an objection to the two officers, objected to meeting them in front of the CBI team.
Both officers left without meeting him.
Then, another CBI team reached Joy Prakash Yadav’s house in Bhatpara.
Yadav, a BJP worker, allegedly killed on June 8 Team spoke to family members and neighbors.
The Ministry of Houses Uni, meanwhile, allocated four CRPF companies for CBI officers who investigated cases in Bengal.
The two companies will accompany officials in the city while two companies will be available for cases of probing officials in the district.
