Noida: Three robbers were arrested on Thursday after a meeting in sector 58.
The defendant was desired in connection with the robbery case.
Police said on August 19, a 30-year-old collection agent who worked for a businessman based in Delhi was robbed of Rs 12 lakh by three gunmen in sector 104 when he was on his way back to Delhi with money.
The two injured accused, identified as Rakesh and Subodh Rai, taken to the District Hospital for the third temporary medical treatment identified as Suraj.
According to the police, the three have a vast history of robbery and booty criminals and each has more than 8-9 cases against them.
A senior police officer said on Thursday, the police got information that the same gang came to Noida to carry out another robbery.
“Acting on a tip-off, we have arranged several checkpoints.
The team saw three people on a bicycle and stopped them,” he added.
Ranvijay Singh, ADCP, told Ti that Trio tried to escape and then opened fire on the police team.
Two suspects were injured in the retalator shooting while one of them managed to escape.
However, after some time, he was arrested while combing.
The three were ordered under Section 392 (robbery) IPC and relevant weapons parts.
