Aurangabad: A total of 1,144 out of 1,313 villages in Aurangabad District have not reported fresh Covid-19 cases in the last four weeks until Wednesday.
While 87% of the total villages have succeeded in containing the spread of the disease, the authorities concerned have emphasized the need to follow the appropriate behavior of Covid and high mass vaccination to ensure sustainable battles against pandemics.
Deputy Health Director (Division Aurangabad) Dr.
Swapnil Lale said every pandemic disease regarding the public in the periodic wave pattern before assuming the status of endemic disease.
“We have seen two awesome Covid-19 waves in the past and, therefore, should not lower our guards.
Although most villages in the Aurangabad district have not reported new cases, we cannot ignore the official warning of the third wave , “he said.
In accordance with official data, the Aurangabad district has 172 villages with Covid-19 active cases with vaijapur above with 62 cases, followed by Paitan (37), Gangapur (35), Aurangabad (14), SILLOD (both) PhuBRI (5), Khuldabad (1).
When it comes to city limits, Aurangabad has a total of 50 active cases.
Immunization drives in rural areas of Aurangabad Regency, which are scheduled to include a 21.1 lakh population, have witnessed 26% inoculation of the target receiver to get the first dose and 8% get both doses.
