Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala continues to report more than 30,000 cases for the third consecutive day on Friday and show an increase in the test level of the test, while 179 deaths took victims to 20,313.
The country recorded 32,801 cases today, up from 30.007 on Thursday.
That number was 31,445 cases on August 25.
The number of samples tested in the last 24 hours increased to 1,70,703, Health Minister Veena George, compared with 1,66,397 on Thursday.
The test level of the test reached 19.22 percent, increased from 18.03 on August 26.
“From those who were found infected today, 144 reached the interim state 31.281 contracted disease from their contacts.
The source of the 1.260 infection has not been traced.
Among the infected ones are 116 health workers,” Minister said in the release.
Among the districts, Malappuram reported the highest number of cases (4,032), followed by thrissur 3,953 and Ernakulamp 3,627, Kozhikode 3,362 and Kollam 2,828.
Meanwhile, 18,573 people were restored from the disease on Friday, taking a total of recovery in the country to 37,30,198.
At present, there are 1,95,254 people in care in the state.
The Ministry of Health said there were 353 wards in 70 local government bodies where the weekly infection population ratio was above eight percent.
A steady increase in cases has seen the Secretary of the Union House Ajay Bhalla reviewed the situation with high-ranking officials on Thursday and the steps taken to contain alarming graphics of viruses in the state.
The central government has said that the southern state is the only one who reported more than one Covid-19 lakh case, while four countries have 10,000 to one active lakh case and 31, less than 10,000 active cases.
