Bharuch / Letter: Ambitious Bhadbhut series, promised to reduce salinity in the Narmada River and provide water for irrigation, will be completed in 2025, Sayd BN Navalawala, Advisor to Minister of Vijay Rupani.
Rentas will save around 160 billion gallons of water, which currently flows into the sea every day.
The ingress problem of salinity faced by a large number of people on the banks of the river in a 50m stretch will be resolved, he said.
Navalawala visited the project site on Friday to review the progress along with KB Rabadia, Secretary, Kalpasar, MD Modiya, Bharuch collector, RK Jha, Head of Engineer and other officials.
Large reservoir drinking water with a capacity of 599 million cubic cm (MCM) will be made with a series.
Water will meet the demands of several villages, nagarplikas and industry in the chemical investment area of Petroleum and Petro (PCPIR) and other GIDC plantations from Bharuch Regency.
“Water will be very important for livelihoods in the coming days and this project is very important to overcome the water crisis in the future,” said Navalawala
