Chennai: Chairman of the Minister of Tamil Nadu M K Stalin and the leaders of various political parties on Monday welcomed Avani Lekhara for winning gold in a 10 meter rifle shooting in Tokyo Paralympics.
“Congratulations to Avani Lekhara for his historic gold medal at Parashiooting.
I am happy with your phenomenal achievement.
I also congratulated Yogesh Kathuniya for the time of the Discus Throw and Devendra Jhjharia and Sundar Singh Gurjar to win the silver and bronze medal in Javelin,” Stalin tweeted .
PMK S Ramadoss leader congratulated the athletes.
“Congratulations to medalists to make a country proud,” Ramadoss tweeted.
The Tamil Maanila Congress leader G K Vasan congratulated their athletes, their parents and other family members and coaches.
